I brought out some of my glass rods for examination. all rods are still fun to fish and fishing is getting better each day as the water temperature stays above 50F at night. I caught my first crappie today.

wondering what kind of automatics those are in your pics. looked like you had a beefier automatic of the same brand on your spey rod.

I was hoping someone would ask. This is a Bronson royal matic #390fly reel(green). I have acquired two of these automatic reels. The company went out of
business in 1972. The reel is almost my age but still works well. It holds 50 yards of backing and I currently have it loaded with orvis wonerline, bass
taper 9 wtf line. The arbor is quite large for an automatic fly reel. I've read that it can be used in saltwater as well. Occasionally they become
available on e-bay. The Franco Vivarelli reel(black) is a semi automatic fly reel. It has NO spring. The semi automatics are used in Europe by competition
fly fishers. It is made of carbon fiber and has a lifetime warranty. If it breaks they fix it, no charge.

You may have lost that auction to me . I got my second reel this year. If you can get one, I don't think you will be disappointed. several pop each year
on e bay.
