All flies from the Fly swap have been mailed out. Please let me know that you received them. I also put in a bonus fly called the "Boogie Woogie" for all your help.Thanks again...

Hail Call to all STS members,
Hey, Bidder, Bidder!.......Going Once, Going Twice........This year's Bass Pond Fly Swap Auction will begin for on-line bidding for the 2 extra sets of Swap Flies starting this coming Friday, 27 Feb 2009 and ending midnight Saturday 7 March 2009. The 2 highest bidders will be awarded the 17+ special "2009 Bass Pond Warm Water Flies" and donate their winning bids to the contribution chest on the Bass Pond website. I will post a collective picture of all the flies later this week...to show what you are bidding on.. this is a great group event over the past years; we have raised $$$ to help keep the maintenance of the website going

Gang,
For you E-bay junkies, mark your calendar's, starting tomorrow, Sam Tisdale Society is opening the bidding for 2 sets of the 2009 Bass Pond Swap Flies. There are a total of 20 flies in each set. Big Jim was so kind to tie several extras deer hair Bombers and Dalhberg Divers which I added to the lot. (thanks Big Jim) The 2 highest bidders will received each a set of these Dynamite Warm Water Flies. The lucky winners will contribute their bid $ amount into the Contribution Chest of the Bass Pond Website. This fund raiser is one way we can keep the maintenance of this website ad-free, on going for a long time and share with our fellow fishermen. Happy bidding, the Queensbury Rules apply the bidding will end midnight, Saturday, 7 March 2009. Thanks guys for all the support, this was a fun Fly swap. Here are the this year's flies you are bidding on:

Hi Gillbuster, got out today spring has sprung, shaved my winter beard off, road was open again, got my phone line and internet connection back, Sundays storms are they say gonna be rain below 7000 feet, so its time to get some flys for the lake. If this is gonna be the bidding forum then I will be glad to start the bidding at $25 for one set. I really ike them. I received my set today, they are awsome. Shall I say the best we have ever had. I cant wait to try them on the lake in a week or two.

Gang,
I may have confused some of you... I was kidding about Ebay, misleading joke I guess... the bidding for the swap flies are just like the previous years on this website & on this thread...only one person thus far has posted a bid...

Fishing4goldentrout - "I will be glad to start the bidding at $25 for one set".

Any other members have interest in these great flies. This money raised is one way we can keep the maintenance of this "thebasspond.com" website ad-free, on going for a long time and share with our fellow fly- fishermen...

Do I hear any other offers???

Since I may have confused some folks with the eBay snafu... I agree with Spinzo; let's extend the fly swap on-line auction one more week (March 15th) to let some floks get involved if they wish...happy bidding

Jeff,

I shoulda kept my big mouth shut. You can't buy 17 decent trout flies for $30, let alone that many big, bushy bass flies. Plus a box? I think we should go back to the old timing and just close it out tomorrow so I can add those creations to my arsenal for this season.

Just checking in and am negligent in noting that my flies arrived on Thursday (if I recall correctly).

Yowza! I'll tell you what, that's a dynamite selection of flies (and the box is mighty spiffy, too). I've already got designs for each of them and am imagining various species of fish being brought to hand with one of those fabulous creations stuck in their mouths. Honestly, I doubt I'd be able to find a better selection at any fly shop around.
