As the water temperature raises the fishing here in NYC gets better by the day. The BG pictured is nearly eight inches long. The golden shiner have been a staple near the boat house here in Prospect Park for about a month. The get to be about 12" long but can be over 4" wide. they fight well on light tackle. Bill

Good to hear things are heating up Bill! I catch a lot of those golden shiners too and often on topwater which is fun. They make good bait for Largemouths. I
know guys who would looove to have them for live lining.

Things are still slow here in SC, my fishing log from last year shows that the activity started picking up around the 20th of april. The BG's will take
small adams drys but nothing to write about, they would make great bait!
