Hi Ohio!
Welcome to the board! We're all about flyfishing for warmwater fish! My "go to" line is a 4 wt...WF-4-F. I've used these lines for years, and they've worked well for me! Cheers, Robert |

wind? if you fish locations that wind hampers the cast, the WF is a better choice; if you fish locations that are generally protected from wind the DT is the
better choice; that my #1 criteria-p-

I like Scientific Anglers Air Cel Supreme 2. I use both DT and WF and typically I'm fishing a 6-weight.

If your typical roll cast distance is 30 feet or less it won't make much if any difference if you use a wt forward or a dual taper. if you are going to be
casting beyond 30 feet it can make a difference. the advantage of wt forward is that it allows you to use a heavier line for close casting and will not be as
likely to overload the rod at those times when you need distance.. for casting into the wind a wt forward 3 is going to act the same as a dual taper 3. if wind
is an issue you might go to a wt forward 4 or even a 5 to give a little more punch. its all so subjective and this discussion comes up all the time with no
real resolution. use what feels good.

Lotsa roll casting? Without question the Wulff Triangle Taper. You will love it - a great line. They are expensive, but keep your eyes open for deals. Alec

I second the Triangle Taper Line - it will do all you ask of it

I love the Air Cel lines, keep it clean and lubed, and you can get two for the price of one of most other lines. I have a WF7F right now on my Wonderod, and
will be getting a DT5F for my Featherlight...generally anything over 7' long, I use WF lines, under, I use DT. Line weight does not matter so much to me.

I bought SA's "GPX" flyline in WF-4-F. I wanted a slick factory line that has a good reputation. I'll wait 'till spring to use it!
