Looking through the pics and archives, I notice that there are quite a few canoeists here.

What do you all use to fish from when you're not banking it? I have a canoe (which I seldom use because it it fairly uncomfortable to stay in for very many hours) and several float tubes. Also have a 14 foot aluminum v-hull boat. I think of all the rides I've used I like the float tubes best.

How 'bout you?

Here's my favorite tube.

Just set the hook on a nice deal on a used Ultimate 12 myself. I REALLY think I'm going to like this boat for FW flyfishing. Seems even lighter /easier to

Hi All;

My ride is a Gaylans woodsmen 14' sit in kayak. Not a great boat but a compromise between a recreational kayak and touring kayak. Also is fun on windy days
since it tends to weathercock or the front end will go where it wants without diligent correction! But then again the price was right since Gaylans was going
out of business and it was reduced by 15% and it gets the jobe done.

Since my original post when I talked about float tubes and canoes, I've purchased another canoe. I bought an Old Town Pack 12 solo. I was looking at kayaks and nearly pulled the trigger on a Tarpon 120 after talking with Smallmouth on this forum. However, when I tried it out I was not fond of the cockpit seating.
