        <![CDATA[ I found an old intact glass spinning rod of unknown make in my basement this evening.  It&#39;s 6&#39;4&quot; and appears to be of 1960s vintage.  Nice and
limber.  Metal ferrules that still pop nicely; cork grip that used sliding rings, but they are missing as it looks like there was at one time a butt cap that
kept them on.  Perhaps the butt cap might have give a clue as to the maker.


Glass is an attractive dark brown, reminiscent of my old Wright &amp; McGill but a little darker, with... ]]>

			<description><![CDATA[ The more I look at it, the more I think it was a &quot;custom&quot; rod, or if it&#39;s a production rod, it was wrapped by hand quickly.  Some of the finish
work on the wraps is a little sloppy.  There&#39;s no indication of a manufacturer&#39;s label anywhere on the rod that might have worn off.  Still, the blank
is in nice shape and, in the right hands, could be a nice little stick.
